The Authority tool is used to manage permissions to view data and perform operations in the operations network. Permissions are granted to operate in Control Zones, which are discrete sections of a utility's distribution system. Control Groups are groups of control zones. You must subscribe to a control zone or a zone group to see events, manage crews, or perform device operations in that section. Once subscribed, you can examine and change the assignment of control zones, view control areas within the distribution system, and identify which users have authority over each section.
