OUAF Admin Setup

This section lists entities typically performed by an administrative user and are accessed from the Admin menu. Most of these objects establish global configuration. They are defined at implementation and usually do not change again.

1	Defining Countries	Your organization’s country.
1	Defining Currency Codes	Your organization’s currency. The overall system uses the base currency defined in Installation Options, and all financial transactions use the base currency. However, the purchasing system supports other currencies which can be defined in the Currency portal.
1	Defining Display Profiles	Controls how dates, times, and numbers are displayed.
1	Defining Languages	The language to use for this implementation.
1	Defining Time Zones	Your organization’s base time zone.
1	Defining To Do Roles	Used to associate users with To Do entries.
1	Defining Work Calendar	The work calendar for your organization which identifies your public holidays.
1	Defining Geographic Types	If your company uses geographic coordinates for dispatching or geographic information system integration, you need to setup a geographic (coordinate) type for each type of geographic coordinate you capture for assets.
1	Defining Extendable Lookups	The "lookup" table is a single table that holds valid values for many columns on many tables. Extendable lookups are custom fields where valid values are limited to a predefined list.
1	Defining Lookups	The "lookup" table is a single table that holds valid values for many columns on many tables. Lookups are custom fields where values can be added. Only lookups where the “Custom” flag is checked can be modified.
1	Defining Outbound Message Types	Prerequisites: Business Object and Schema
1	Global Context Overview	You will need to set up an algorithm that populates global context values. The global context is used by various zones in the system to display relevant data. This algorithm is plugged-in on the installation record.
2	Defining Installation Options	Controls various aspects of the system. You must set up ‘Address Information’ and ‘Global Context’ algorithms.
2	Defining To Do Types	Used to define types of To Do Entries.
2	Defining Feature Configurations	Prerequisites: The Checkbox Feature Configuration needs the custom UI Maps. Add a feature configuration of feature type ‘Schema Constants’ and set the value for ‘Default Country’.
2	Characteristic Types	If you need to introduce additional fields to objects that were delivered with minimal fields, you can add a characteristic type for each field you want to capture.
2	External Systems	If you are using an integration you must configure the external system in this portal.
