Defining Asset Types
The Asset Type portal is used to display and maintain asset types.
You can access the portal from Admin, select A, then select Asset Type. You are brought to a query portal with options for searching for a specific asset type. Once the asset type has been selected, you are brought to the maintenance portal to view and maintain the selected record.
The following zones may appear as part of the portal's Main tab page:
• Asset Type: This zone provides information about the asset type, including various attribute types that can be associated with an asset and a list of locations where assets and components of this type can be attached.
• Asset Type Statistics: This zone displays a graphical breakdown of cost and count details by service class.
