Creating Pending Events

Events may be created in pending or complete status. Only complete events cause the completion event algorithms to run and cause other actions to occur. You may use the status of pending if you want to review the calculated amount prior to completing the event.

For example, when a cooperative runs the background process to allocate capital credits, it may create the new events in the pending status. This allows the co-op to review the total amount of capital credits calculated for all members. If this total is in line with the co-op's expectations, they run the background process again creating the new events in complete status. Only at this point do the completion event algorithms run.
