Defining Service Codes

The Service Code portal is used to maintain a list of valid service codes. Service Codes are used to create the appropriate work record from the service call.

Refer to Understanding Service Calls for more information.

You can access this portal from Admin, select S, then select Service Code. The user is brought to a query portal with options for searching for a specific service code. Once the service code has been selected, you are brought to the maintenance portal to view and maintain the selected record.

The following zone may appear as part of the portals Main tab page:

• Service Code: This zone provides information about the selected service code and enables user functions to manage To Dos, work requests, work orders and work priorities.
• Unlink Service Categories: This zone enables the removal of a service code from the valid service code list of service categories.
• Link Service Categories: This zone adds a service code to the valid service code list of service categories.
