Using Unified Search

The Unified Search feature allows the use of the toolbar search field to search for business entities as well as to search for menu items. See Search for more information about the general use of the unified search field.

In Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management and Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service, the Unified Search field allows searching for Assets or Asset Locations. The Search icon located on the application toolbar can be used to toggle between the Asset search or Asset Location search (Default is Asset search).

The following filters can be used to indicate your specific search criteria and are available to use when searching for Assets. When using the Asset Location search, only the filters indicated by an asterisk (*) can be used.

Filter

Filter Rule

Badge Number

Minimum of 5 characters excluding whitespaces.

Serial Number

Minimum of 5 characters excluding whitespaces.

Tag Number*

Minimum of 5 characters excluding whitespaces.

Building*

Minimum of 2 characters excluding whitespaces.

Address*

One or more numeric characters followed by space and an alphanumeric character.

For example, to search for serial number 678912, the system would look at the filter rule (all except address) and return all “likeable” search results until it reaches 20 results or finds an exact match.

To search explicitly using a specific filter, precede the filter value with one of the following predefined hints:
