The Oracle Utilities Application Framework supports the ability to store cryptographic keys and/or certificates. Keystores are used to encrypt and decrypt data such as passwords and for the data encryption component of the Oracle Utilities Application Framework. Because of their importance, it is vital that keystore-related files be secured and only be accessible by administrators. It is also possible to implement a truststore to ensure the integrity of certificates.
