18.1 Cheque Status Inquiry

The Teller can use the Cheque Status Inquiry screen to query the details of a cheque by specifying the account number and cheque number of the customer.

To query the details of a cheque:
  1. On the Homepage, from Teller mega menu, under Customer Service, click Cheque Status Inquiry or specify Cheque Status Inquiry in the search icon bar and select the screen.
    The Cheque Status Inquiry screen is displayed.

  2. On the Cheque Status Inquiry screen, specify the fields. For more information on fields, refer to the field description table.

    Note:

    The fields, which are marked with an asterisk, are mandatory.

    Field Description

    Account Number

    Specify the account number for which the cheque status needs to be enquired.

    Cheque Number

    Specify the cheque number.

    Query

    Click Query to fetch the details of the cheque.

    Clear

    Click Clear to clear the details.

    Account Name

    Displays the name of the account holder.

    Account Branch

    Displays the account branch code.

    Customer ID

    Displays the customer ID of the account.

    Cheque Status

    Displays the status of the cheque (Used, Unused, or Stopped).

    Value Date

    Displays the date specified on the cheque.

    Cheque Amount

    Displays the cheque amount.

    Beneficiary

    Displays the name of the beneficiary.
