3.2 Change Data Source Password

This topic provides systematic instructions to change the password of the different data sources in the IBM Websphere application server.

1. Log in to the IBM Websphere application server.
2. Navigate to the Security, click Global Security.
   The General secruity screen displays.

3. On the Global Security screen, expand the Java Authentication and Authorization Service section and click J2C Authentication Data.
   The list of JDBC sources are displayed in the table under the Preferences section.

4. Choose the node which is been used by data source.
   The General properties screen displays.

5. On the General properties screen, specify the new password and click Apply button.
6. Click OK.

   Note:

   The above all steps are applicable to Host schema, Scheduler, ELCM, Gateway, and Branch Schema data sources.
