Maintaining a Layout

Introduction

Modifying a Layout ensures that generated communications remain accurate and aligned with current business requirements.

You can update the following Layout information:

• Editing a Layout: Edit a Layout’s basic information and User Defined Data Structure.
• Modifying the Associations in a Layout: Modify or replace the associated Contents, Layouts and Styles, if the Config ID is open.
• Deleting a Layout: Delete a Layout if the Config ID is open.

If the initial Config ID used for creating a Layout is closed, and if you want to edit the Layout, see Editing a Configuration after Closing the Config ID.

Editing a Layout

You can modify the basic information of the Layout and its associations.

Perform the following steps:

1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
2. From Menu, select Communication and then select Layout.
3. To edit the Layout, follow either one of these options from the Communication Layout landing page:
   • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Layout, select Edit.
   • From Name column, select the Layout name to view its Summary page. Then from Summary page, select Edit.
4. In Update Communication Layout page, modify the details as needed.
5. In User Defined Data Structure section, select More Menu under Action column, and follow these steps:
   1. To remove the User Defined Data Structure, select Remove.
   2. To replace the User Defined Data Structure, select Replace and then select a new User Defined Data Structure belonging to the same Config ID.
6. Select Save to save the changes, or Save & Exit to save the details and return to the landing page.

Modifying Association in a Layout

You can modify the Content, Layout, or Style association in the Layout using the Config ID which is in Open status.

To edit the Content, Layout or Style associations, follow these steps:

1. On Update Communication Layout page, expand Associations section.
2. From Action, select the More Menu and then select Edit corresponding to the Content, Layout or Style that is associated.
3. On Add Contextual Association(s) to Content(s), Add Contextual Association(s) to Layout(s) or Add Contextual Association(s) to Style(s) page, select to modify the values.
4. After editing, select to save the changes or to discard the changes.
5. If you have multiple Contents, Layouts or Styles, and you want to rearrange the order, select the Content, Layout or Style you want to reorder, and drag and drop it to the position where you want to reorder.
6. Select Done to return to Update Communication Layout page.

To remove the association, follow the steps below:

1. On Update Communication Layout page, under Associations section select Expand All.
2. Under Action column, select More Menu and then select Remove corresponding to the Content, Layout or Styles that is associated.

Deleting a Layout

You can delete a Layout if it is no longer required. Before deleting a Layout, you must ensure that all the associations are removed and the initial Config ID used for Layout creation is open.

To delete a Layout, follow the steps below:

1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
2. From Menu, select Communication and then select Layout. This redirects you to the Communication Layout landing page.
3. To delete the required Layout, follow either one of these options from the Communication Layout landing page:
   • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Layout, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
   • From More Menu in Action column of the respective Layout, select Edit. This redirects you to the Update Communication Layout page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
