Creating a Communication Queue Category Configuration
Introduction
Communication Queue Category helps you organize Communication Queue based on the applicable Operations Company. You can associate a Communication Queue Category to multiple Communication Queue configurations.
Prerequisites
| Prerequisites | Details |

| Set the Config ID | Config ID must be Active.
Ensure that all dependent configurations and associations are part of the same open Config ID. See Creating Config ID. |
| Configure entitlements | Ensure that you have the required entitlements to create a Communication Queue Category.

| Configure Operations Company | Ensure that you have configured the Operations Company for which the Communication Queue Category is applicable. See Creating Operations Company. |
Creating a Communication Queue Category
- Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Under Configuration, select Distribution Collation, and then select Communication Queue Category.
- On the Communication Queue Category landing page, select Create.
- In Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name and Description (optional), to identify the Communication Queue Category.
- In Operations Company section, select Add Operations Company, and then select the Operations Company that you want to associate to the Communication Queue Category.
- In Status section, Active Date displays the current date. To activate the Communication Queue Category later date, you can edit and select a future date.
- Select Save to save the details or Save & Exit to save the details and return to the landing page.
Maintaining a Communication Queue Category Configuration
Introduction
Maintaining a Communication Queue Category helps you ensure that the Communication Queue configurations are aligned with the changing business requirements. Maintaining a Communication Queue Category mainly involves editing the details, replacing the Operations Company, or deleting a Communication Queue Category, if it is no longer required.
Note:
If the initial Config ID used for creating a Communication Queue Category is closed, and if you want to edit the Communication Queue Category, see Editing a Configuration after Closing the Config ID.Editing a Communication Queue Category
- Editing Basic Information: You can change identification details of the Communication Queue Category, such as Name, Long Name, and Description.
- Replacing Operations Company: You can replace the Operations Company associated to the Communication Queue Category.
- Editing Status: You can edit the Active Date to another future date.
- Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Select Distribution Collation, and then select Communication Queue Category.
- On the Communication Queue Category landing page, follow either one of these options to open the Update Communication Queue Category page:
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Communication Queue Category, select Edit.
- From the Name column, select the required Communication Queue Category to view its Summary page. Then from the Summary page, select Edit.
- To change the identification details of the Communication Queue Category, under Basic Information, edit Name, Long Name, and Description.
- To replace the Operations Company for which this Communication Queue Category is applicable, in the Operations Company section, select Replace option under Action, and select another Operations Company.
Note:
You can replace the Operations Company only if the Config ID that you used to create the Communication Queue Category is in Open state. - To change the date by which the Communication Queue Category becomes active, edit the Active Date to another future date.
- Once you make the required changes to the Communication Queue Category, select either Save to save the changes, or Save & Exit to save the changes and return to the landing page.
Deleting a Communication Queue Category
- The Config ID used for creating the Communication Queue Category is not closed.
- The Communication Queue Category is not associated to any Communication Queue.
- Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Select Distribution Collation and then select Communication Queue Category. This opens the Communication Queue Category landing page.
- On the Communication Queue Category landing page, follow either one of these options:
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Communication Queue Category, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
- From More Menu in Action column of the respective Communication Queue Category, select Edit. This redirects you to the Update Communication Queue Category page. From Actions on the top right corner, select Delete. In the dialog box, select Delete to confirm.
