File Upload
Introduction
Communication Cloud Service Digital Asset feature is essential for centrally storing and managing marketing materials, communications, and other critical assets within the Communication Cloud Service. Digital Asset enables all assets, such as PDFs to be easily referenced, retrieved, and embedded in communications as needed. Using the File Upload feature, you can upload a PDF and store it as a Digital Asset, along with metadata that classifies the uploaded asset.
Prerequisites
Following are the prerequisites to consider before uploading a file in Communication Cloud Service:

| Set the Config ID |
Config ID must be Active.
Ensure all dependent configurations and associations are part of the same open Config ID. See Creating Config ID. |
| Create Entitlements | Ensure that you have the required entitlements to create a File Upload.

| Create Marketing Company configuration | Ensure that you have created the Marketing Company configuration that needs to be selected while uploading the file. See Creating a Creating Marketing Company for more information. |
| Create Digital Asset configuration | Ensure that you have created the Digital Asset configuration where you want to upload the File. See Creating a Digital Asset Configuration, for more details. |
Uploading a File
In File Upload, Marketing Company and Effective Date determine the list of Digital Asset Detail configuration records that acts as a repository. Once the list is available, you can select the Digital Asset Detail from the list against which the uploaded file will be mapped to for further retrievals.
To upload a file, follow these steps:
- Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
- From Menu, select Configuration.
- Under Configuration, select Digital Asset, and then select File Upload. This redirects you to the Select View page.
- In Digital Asset section, select Upload. This redirects you to the Upload Asset page.
- Under Basic Information section, select Marketing Company and Effective Date to retrieve the list of Digital Asset Detail.
- In Digital Asset Detail section, select the Digital Asset Detail where you want to upload the Asset. Once you select the Digital Asset Detail, the Additional Information and File Upload sections are displayed.
Note:
Select the Digital Asset Detail where the Asset Type is set as PDF.If the selected Digital Asset Detail has Attribute configuration, then Additional Information section is displayed. This Additional Information points to the metadata which will be tagged and stored along with the asset for retrieval purposes.
- Enter details under Additional Information section.
- In File Upload section, select Select a file or drop one here, select the asset from your local system that you want to upload, and then select Open.
- After selecting the file, from File Upload, you can perform the following actions prior to the completion of the upload event:
- To replace the asset, select Replace. Then select the asset from your local system, and select Open.
- To view the uploaded asset, under File Upload, select View.
- To upload the asset on the selected Digital Asset Detail, select Upload from the top right corner.
Note:
Once the file is uploaded it cannot be replaced or deleted.
