Creating a Rule Category

Introduction

Rule Category helps you organize Rules based on the Operations Company for which it is applicable.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites Details
Set the Config ID Config ID must be Active.

Ensure that all dependent configurations and associations are part of the same open Config ID. See Creating Config ID.

Configure entitlements Ensure that you have the required entitlements to create a Rule Category.
Configure Operations Company Ensure that you have configured the Operations Company for which the Rule Category is applicable. See Creating Operations Company.

Creating a Rule Category

To create a Rule Category, follow these steps:
  1. Access the Oracle Financial Services Cloud application.
  2. From Menu, select Configuration.
  3. Under Configuration, select Rule, and then select Rule Category.
  4. On the Rule Category landing page, select Create.
  5. In the Basic Information section, enter the Name, Long Name and Description (optional), to identify the Rule Category.
  6. In the Operations Company section, select Add Operations Company, and then select the Operations Company that you want to associate to the Rule Category.
  7. In the Status section, Active Date displays the current date. To activate the Rule Category at a later date, you can edit and select a future date.
  8. Select Save to save the details, or Save & Exit to save the details and return to the landing page.
