2.1.18.2 Create Future-dated Rules for Policies

This topic gives instructions to create Future-dated rules for Policies.

  1. You can create a future-dated rule by copying a policy and making changes to the new rule with a Rule Effective Date in the future. The rule will become active on the Rule Effective Date. On this date, the system will mark the new rule as the latest rule and disregard the old rules for the policy. The system will allow you to create only one future-dated rule for a policy and on a given date only one rule will be active.
  2. You can amend future-dated rule details including the Rule effective Date and also close an existing future-dated rule. In case, you wish to re-open a future-dated rule, the system will allow it only if there is no other future-dated rule maintained in the system for the policy.
