18.20 Future Dated Balance Computation Management Ledger Pipeline

Future-dated Balance Computation Management Ledger PMF enables AFCS to process journals with effective dates in a future fiscal period while maintaining alignment with Financials Cloud General Ledger. When the feature is enabled, journals belonging to the current open period are processed using the current As-of Date, while journals in a future open period are processed using the first day of that fiscal period. AFCS refreshes balances only for the affected account combinations and supports these balances in reporting, extracts, and reconciliation, helping prevent reconciliation differences between AFCS and GL. Multiple fiscal periods may be open at the same time; however, only the ledger-designated current period is treated as current.

Note:

Users must raise a Service Request and contact the My Oracle Support team to enable the Future-dated pipeline in the application.

Note:

• Ensure all the applicable fiscal periods are locked before processing future-dated journals.
• After configuring or modifying the required fiscal periods, run or re-run the Balance Computation Management Ledger Initialization pipeline before executing the Future-Dated pipeline.
• Ensure that the Future-dated processing is enabled for the tenant before running the pipeline.
• Always execute the Balance Computation Management Ledger pipeline before processing future-dated journals.

To execute the Future-Dated Balance Computation Management Ledger pipeline, please follow the steps below:

1. From the Home page, click Process Orchestration.
2. Navigate to the Process Modeller page and search for the Future-Dated Balance Computation Management Ledger pipeline.
3. Click on the Future-Dated Balance Computation Management Ledger process pipeline, the process canvas page is displayed.
4. Click the Execution icon and select the Execution Type as With Parameters to execute the Future-Dated Balance Computation Management Ledger pipeline .
5. Enter information in the following fields.

   Fields	Description
   Extraction Date	Select the extraction date using the calendar icon.
   Legal Entity	Use the Link button to select atleast one Legal Entity from the Available Values List, move it to the Selected Values List, and click OK. Note: Do not select "All" option. Note: Do not select multiple legal entities. Note: Balance Computation Management Ledger process does not support Legal Entity or Data Source as filters. Select a valid Legal Entity for executing and processing data for all Legal Entities.
   Run Execution Description	Enter the description for the run execution.
   Ledger Name	Ensure to select All option only.
   Run Purpose	Select the run purpose from the drop down list.

6. Click Execute to start the process execution.
   By default, Singleton option is enabled for Future-Dated Balance Computation Management Ledger pipeline.
