<Managing a Business Measure>
After creating a new Business Measure, you can perform the following operations from the Business Measures window:
- View: You can view an existing individual
Business Measure definition details at any given point by selecting the checkbox
adjacent to the required Business Measure code and clicking
View from the Business Measure toolbar.
The View Business Measure window displays the details of the selected Business Measure definition. The User Info grid at the bottom of the window displays the metadata information about the Business Measure definition created along with the option to add comments.
Note:
You must have Measure Read Only role mapped to view the Business Measure. - Copy: To create a new Business Measure
definition based on the existing one, select the checkbox adjacent to the required
Business Measure code and click Copy from the Business
Measure toolbar.
The Business Measure definition details are copied and a confirmation message is displayed.
Note:
You can later modify the Business Measure Code or Short Description, add/remove tables, and also define the join conditions. You must have Measure Write role mapped to copy the Business Measure definitions. - Modify: To modify an existing Business Measure
definition, select the checkbox adjacent to the required Business Measure code and
click Edit from the Business Measure toolbar. Update the
required details and Click Save.

Note:
You can update the existing Business Measure definition details except for the Code and Short Description. You need to have Measure Write role mapped to modify the Business Measure. - Delete: To delete an existing Business Measure,
select the checkbox adjacent to the required Business Measure code and click
Delete from the Business Measure toolbar. A confirmation
dialog is displayed , click OK.
Note:
Delete function permanently removes the Business Measure from the database. Ensure that you have verified the details as indicated below:- You must have Measure Write role mapped to delete Business Measure definition(s) which are created by you and which are no longer required in the system.
- A Business Measure definition marked for deletion is not accessible for other users.
- The authorizer has to
Authorize/Reject every delete action.
- On authorization, the Business Measure details are removed.
- On rejection, the Business Measure details are reverted to an authorized state.
- You cannot update Business Measure details before authorizing/rejecting the deletion.
- You can delete an unauthorized Business Measure definition.
