6.19 Configuring Purge

CTR Purge is used by financial institutions to automatically purge CTRs and exemptions after a configurable period, based on regulatory and business requirements.

To update the Common Parameters to configure CTR purge, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the Common Parameters page by clicking Administration, then Manage Parameters and Common Parameters.
  2. Select CTR-Used for Design in the Parameter Category drop-down list.
  3. Select Purge Look Back Period in the Parameter Name drop-down list.
  4. Set the number of months your organization requires for document archival. CTRs and exemptions which are older than this value will be automatically purged.
    For example, if regulations require CTRs and exemptions to be maintained for six years, you can set the Purge Look Back Period parameter to 72 months. If your organization chooses to maintain these documents for a longer period, set the parameter to meet your business needs.
