5.2.2.1.2.1 Sources Area

The Sources area contains the source datasets. The red X in Sources indicates that a join is not yet defined between the datasets.

Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to move a dataset to a higher or lower position in the list.

Note:

The Move Up and Move Down buttons are inactive unless you have three or more datasets.

When you select the source dataset at the top, the dataset title and the next listed dataset title appear in the Relations area (on either side of the word and). If only three source datasets are available, the second dataset title box in the Relations area contains the remaining two datasets (that appear together at a single level). To complete the Join relation expression, you must define a Join relation expression between the top dataset and the other two datasets.
