5.2.2.1.2 Joining DataSets

The Join DataSets transform enables you to join multiple datasets, which you do in the Edit Join dialog box.

The elements in the new dataset contain attributes selected from each source dataset. You must select at least two datasets for the join.

The Edit Join dialog box contains the following areas:

• Sources: Indicates where the datasets of the join are ordered.
• Relations: Specifies where you define the type of join.
• Add relation expression: Specifies additional or alternative join relation expressions. The following sections describe each of these areas.

Note:

You may define the joins of the datasets in any order, however, you must define joins for all of the listed source datasets.
