Pattern Role Components

When defining patterns, specify the following:

• Variable: Defines the variable to display as an alert.
• Description: Specifies the text you want associated with a specific role.
• Format: Identifies the highlights from other pattern roles and defines the display of the pattern roles in the Web Application UI.
• TA Role Use: Specifies if a pattern role variable should be available for the threshold analyzer role.
