The Primary Rule Description enables you to specify element values to the rule pattern.

Edit Rule Description Fields—Primary Rule

The Primary Rule Description contains the following elements:

  • Description: Enables you to specify the purpose of a rule or any desired information that relates to a rule.
  • Dataset: Enables you to select a source dataset that contains the attributes that you want to use in the rule pattern.
  • Focus Attribute drop-down: Enables you to select the focus attribute for a rule.
  • Action Function: Contains the BreakAction field.
  • No Record: Enables you to set a rule so that its key ID is not recorded and is not shown as a building block on the Web Application pages. The default setting (the No Record check box is not selected) records the rule.
  • Focus Clustering: Enables you to specify whether evaluation of all records for a particular focal entity should occur collectively in the detection process. Under the default setting (not selected), the detection process evaluates the records from the primary rule one at a time.
