2.5.1 Glossaries

The Foundation Catalog for Banking is a published dataset within Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) that supports financial institutions in risk management, performance analysis, and regulatory compliance. With OCI Data Catalog offers a self-service platform for discovering cloud data, managing technical and business metadata, and enabling users to assess data suitability for analytics and data science projects.

Before You Begin

To create user groups and access policies, you must have:

• An Oracle Cloud Infrastructure account with administrator privileges
• At least one user in your tenancy who wants to work with Data Catalog. This user must be created in the IAM service. For more information on how to create a user, see Users and Access Privileges in the Getting Started Guide.

Note:

New roles are introduced for this feature and are mapped to existing user groups. Permissions are defined separately for Add, Delete, and Publish actions. For information about the user groups and role mappings, see User Group Mapping.
