5.6.1.6 Setting Event Decision

This section allows you to take a decision whether the selected event or events are relevant or not for further case investigation.

To set event decision, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Events Details tab.
  2. Select the one or more required Event IDs.
  3. Click Set Event Decision. The Set Event Decision window displays.

  4. Select the decision from the drop-down list.
    • Relevant
    • Not Relevant
    • Suppress Future Events

    Note:

    The Suppress Future Events option in the Select Decision drop-down list will only display for users with a Designate Suppression Rule permission. Contact your administrator to enable this permission.

    When the Suppress Future Events option is selected, the following non-mandatory fields are displayed:

    Condition: In the Suppression Condition fields, specify a binding name and value pair associated with the current event from the Condition drop-down list, the binding operator drop-down list and the value text box.

    The conditional operator and values are auto populated based on the Condition selected. However, you can select other options from the drop-down lists.

    All these fields can have a value or be blank.

    The condition fields are displayed only when a single Event is selected.

  5. Select the Standard Comment from the drop-down list. By default, following four standard comments are provided for the AML and FRAUD Case types.
    • Based on Account Type
    • Based on Customer Type
    • Will be evaluated for Suppression
    • Will be evaluated for Auto-close
  6. You can select multiple events and set a single or multiple standard comments along with risk event decisions. Administrator can create different Standard Comments per case type.

  7. Enter comments in the Comment box for the above selected option.
  8. Click Save. The updates are recorded and displayed in the Decision column of Event List section.
