13.1 Taking Action on Trusted Pair Requests

When trusted pair requests are submitted for approval, the supervisor must review each and decide to approve or reject them. Without approval the trust will not go into effect.

Note:

You must have permissions to take action on trusted pair requests.

To take action on a trusted pair request, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Trusted Pairs Administration page.
  2. Select the Trusted Pair ID.
  3. Click Take Action. The Take Action pop-up window displays.

    Based on the current status of trusted pairs, different actions are taken as described in the following table.

    Note:

    If an approved trust already exists for a selected pair, the message One of the selected pairs already has an approved trust is displayed. Select OK to expire the existing trust and establish the new trust.
  4. Select 3, 6, 9 or 12 months from the Duration from the drop-down list. Administrator can configure additional Durations to display in this list. For more information, see the Trusted Pairs section the Administration and Configuration Guide.
  5. Select the Expiration Date. This will be populated based on the options selected in the Duration drop-down list. Selecting a different date will overwrite the existing value.
  6. Enter comments in the Comment box for the selected option.
  7. Click Save to take action on the trusted pair.
