6.6.9 Account Information

The Account Information section provides the details of the accounts associated with the subject involved in the suspicious activity. This option allows you to add new account details of the subject. You can also modify and remove the existing account details.

Note:

If there are no accounts involved in the suspicious activity, check If No Account Involved, check this box. If the If No Account Involved, check this box checkbox is checked, then you cannot add any account information.

To add new subject account details and modify or remove existing accounts, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Account Information section.
  2. Click Add. The Account Add window displays.

    Fields Description
    Non-US Financial Institution Select No if the financial institution associated with the account is a US-based financial institution. Select Yes if the financial institution associated with the account is a non-US institution.
    Financial Institution TIN Enter the financial institution’s TIN.
    Account Number Enter the account number.
    Is Account Closed

    Select whether the account is closed or not.

    If you have not selected any value in the field Is Account Closed, the application displays the following message: You have not selected any value for field Is Account Closed.

  3. Click Save. The following message displays: Update Operation Successful.
  4. Click OK. The account details are saved.
  5. Click the Validate button in the Account Information section to validate the information present in the Account Information section and check for any missing mandatory information.
    Validations:
    • If you click the check box If No Account Involved, check this box when the report already contains one or more account details, the following message displays: You have selected No known account involved with account records already present. Click Ok to continue and delete all existing account records or cancel to cancel the selection.
    • If there are no account details and If No Account is involved, check this box is not checked, the following message displays: You must either enter account information or indicate No known account involved for Subject record # 12345.
    • If you try to add a new account when no Account is involved, check this box field is checked, the following message displays: You have indicated that no known accounts are involved. You must unselect that option before adding an account.
    • While adding an account, you must specify either the TIN or the Account Number (at least one of them). In case you fail to mention both the TIN and the Account Number, the following message displays: Account Details must contain at least an Affected Account or a Financial Institution TIN. Please provide at least one.
    • If you enter TIN type as SSN/ITIN or EIN and if it is more than 9 digits or if it contains any special characters, then the application displays the following message: 12345 Subject # - For TIN type, SSN/ITIN or EIN length of tin number should be 9 and it must contain only numbers. It should not contain any special characters.
    To edit the subject account details, follow these steps:
    1. Select the account you want to edit in the Account Information section.
    2. Click Edit. The Account Add pop-up window displays.
    3. Modify the required information.
    4. Click Save. The following message displays: Update Operation Successful.
    5. Click OK. The subject account details are saved.
    To delete the subject account details, follow these steps:
    1. Select the account you want to delete in the Account Information section.
    2. Click Delete. The following message displays: Are you sure you want to delete this record.
    3. Click OK. The following message displays: Delete Operation Successful.
    4. Click OK. The subject account detail is deleted.
