6.6.9.1 Updating TIN in Account Information Automatically

This section explains how TIN is automatically updated for the selected filing Institution in the following scenarios.

  • On the Filing Institution Information tab, when you select the Filing Institution Name, the TIN value associated with the selected Filing Institution name is auto populated and shown in the Account Information section of the Subject Information tab - TIN field. You can modify this TIN number here.
  • If you have not added a Filing Institution, the TIN field will be empty in the Account Information section of the Subject Information tab. However, you can add the TIN number manually here.
  • When you modify the Filing Institution for the report that has already account details and click Save. The TINs for all the accounts associated with the report will be overwritten with the new Filing Institution TIN value.

If there are no accounts present in the report or if you select the No Account Involved field check box, then there will be no updates on the TIN field if you add or edit the Filing Institution.
