Editing a Member Adoption Business Rule

Procedure

To edit a member adoption business rule:

  1. Search for the member adoption business rule in the Business Rule screen.
  2. In the Search Results section, select the check box corresponding to the member adoption business rule and then click the Edit button.
    Note:

    You can edit multiple member adoption business rules at once by selecting the check boxes corresponding to them and then clicking the Edit button.

    You can edit the member adoption business rule only when it is not yet used in the system.

  3. Click Edit.

    The Member Adoption Business Rule screen appears. It contains the following fields:

    Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    Criteria Description Indicates the criteria for the member adoption business rule.
    Note: By default, this field is non-editable.
    		 Not applicable
    Effective Date Used to specify the date from when the business rule is effective.
    Note: You can either manually specify the date or select it using the Date Picker (The Date Picker Icon) icon corresponding to the field.
    		 Yes
    Status Used to indicate the status of the business rule. The valid values are:

    • Active

    • Inactive

    		 No
    Gift Days Applicability Used to indicate whether adoption gift days should be applied for an adopted member in an individual membership. No
    New Born Gift Days Used to specify the number of days for which premium-free coverage is offered to an adopted member from the adoption effective date.
    Note:

    By default, this field is disabled. It is enabled when the Gift Days Applicability option is selected.

    You must specify a numeric value greater than zero(0).

    		 Yes(Conditional)
    Note: This field is required if the Gift Days Applicability option is selected.
    Notice Rule Applicability Used to indicate whether notice period rule should be applied while processing the member adoption. No
    Notice Rule Days Used to specify the number of days after which the system should trigger the notice related to member adoption activities.
    Note:

    By default, this field is disabled. It is enabled when the Notice Rule Applicability option is selected.

    You must specify a numeric value greater than zero(0).

    		 Yes(Conditional)
    Note: This field is required if the Notice Rule Applicability option is selected.
    Adoption Notice Rule Calculation Used to indicate the criteria based on which the system performs calculation to determine when an adoption-related notice should be generated for a member.
    Note: By default, this field is disabled. It is enabled when the Notice Rule Applicability option is selected.
    		 Yes(Conditional)
    Note: This field is required if the Notice Rule Applicability option is selected.
  4. Modify the required details of the member adoption business rule.
  5. Click Save.
    The changes made to the member adoption business rule are saved.
