Prerequisites and Limitations
Prerequisites
- You must provide your own IdP.
- You must provide your own OCI IAM identity domain.
- Simphony 19.10 and higher.
- Reporting and Analytics 20.4 and higher.
Note:
Before migrating to OCI IAM, Oracle recommends users sign in at least once on a release after 20.2. Users who do not follow the recommendation will have to change their password after migration.SSO Support
Keep the following support notes in mind:
- All Oracle Restaurant cloud applications (such as Reporting and Analytics, Frontline Manager, Delivery Connectors, and Oracle Restaurants Payment) support SSO.
- Simphony’s Enterprise Maintenance Console (EMC) does not support SSO and requires a separate password.
- Local POS clients do not support SSO because workstation operations must remain resilient during internet or IdP outages.
Limitations
- Oracle Restaurants Inventory Management Mobile Solutions does not support SSO through OCI IAM.
- Labor Management Advanced Scheduler users need to restart the application after getting logged out due to inactivity.
- The following OCI IAM capabilities are not supported:
- SAML JIT provisioning.
- Direct creation or management of users in a domain.
- User capabilities such as API keys or auth tokens.
Note:
Do not:- Manually edit or add users through the OCI console.

- Make changes to the apps in the identity domain.
- Federate an aliased email address.
