2 Before You Install the Recipe

Perform the following configuration tasks to successfully run the recipe.

Configure Oracle Cloud HCM

To access Human Capital Management (HCM) from the Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and to import Timecard details in HCM Time and Labor, the following steps must be performed on the HCM instance:

  1. Perform HR Core and Payroll Configurations in HCM. Important base configurations include:

    1. Basic Enterprise Structure including Legal Structure, General Ledger, Org Structures, and the Business Unit.

    2. Work Structure like Job Function, Job Family, Grades, Grade Rates, Job, and the Department.

    3. Time and Labor setups, including Timecard Period, Time Entry Layout, Time Categories, HCM Groups, Worker Profiles, and the Time Rules.

    4. Payroll Definitions.

  2. Create a separate integration user account in HCM to access HCM from the OIC.

  3. Log in to the HCM instance as an Administrator and perform the following tasks:

    1. Create a user account for the OIC which is required to connect to HCM from the OIC using the Oracle HCM Cloud adapter.

    2. Assign roles to the user account. Find more details at Assign Required Roles to an Integration User.

Configure Oracle MICROS Labor Management

  1. The Reporting and Analytics (R&A) Standard Payroll export 1.19, including the optional timecard information, must be configured.

  2. The selected FTP server credentials must be used at the OIC lookup references.

  3. Obtain a FTP server account with Read/Write access, to be used in the Integration Cloud FTP connections.
