Configure Network Settings

Set up the payment terminal network settings so that you can access the Oracle MICROS network and the internet. You need to know which payment terminal is connected to which Simphony workstation since the terminal IP address is required for setup.

  1. On the terminal, connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet (LAN) port on the dongle. This port is either marked ETH or with the The image is the ethernet symbol with 3 squares connected by lines. symbol.
  2. Press and hold down the 9 and the green o buttons.
  3. Enter the admin PIN, which is provided by Oracle Support.
  4. Press the green o button.
  5. Tap Network on the screen.

  6. Press 2. Ethernet and then enter the following network settings for the payment terminal you have chosen for the Oracle MICROS Network:

    • IP Address

    • Subnet Mask

    • Router

    • DNS - preferred

    • DNS - alternate

  7. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen by touching the display.
  8. Tap Apply.
  9. Press 1. Overview to review the settings.
  10. Press the red x button to exit.
  11. Press the red x button to exit the Admin menu.
  12. Tap Reboot.
  13. Tap Yes.
Repeat these steps for each terminal.
