Add Contained Units

Before using this module, the Base Unit (Unit Type) must be created in the NetSuite native Units of Measure module in advance.

1. On the Dashboard page side navigation menu, click Records, and then click Contained Units.

   The list of units per Unit Type/Base Unit appears, and includes all units created in Contained Units and in Units of Measure.

2. To filter and search:
   1. Select the Unit Type/Base Unit from the drop-down list.
   2. Enter text in the Search field.

   The Contained Units list includes all details stored in the native NetSuite record, as well as the details for the Contained Unit.

3. Click the Add button.
4. Enter the information for the new unit as described in the following table.

   Field	Description
   Name	Enter the name of the unit (for example, Case 20 x 0.33 ltr).
   Consists Of Quantity	Enter the quantity of the contained unit(s) (for example, 20).
   Consists Of Unit	Select the contained unit (for example, Bottle 0.33 ltr).
   Quantity In Base Unit	This field is automatically calculated and read-only.
   Abbreviation	Enter the abbreviation of the unit name (auto-populated based on Unit Name).
   Plural Name	Enter the plural of the unit name (auto-populated based on Unit Name).
   Plural Abbreviation	Enter the plural of the abbreviation of the unit name (auto-populated based on Unit Name).

5. Click the Add button to confirm or Cancel to close the dialog without changes.
