Add Inventory Templates
- On the Dashboard page, click Inventory.
- Click the New ORBO Inventory Template button.
- Enter the information for the inventory template as described in the following
table.

Field Description Name Enter the name of the new template. Locations Select the locations where this template is valid. Full Count Select Full Count to include all items assigned to the location in the count. If this option is not selected, you must choose the item family groups to include in the Partial Count Settings section. Zero Non-Counted Items Select Zero Non-Counted Items to set the count quantity to zero when the count is booked and no value has been entered. If this option is not selected, the count quantity is set to the theoretical quantity when no value has been entered. Inactive Select this option to allow the inventory template to be used to create counts. If this option is not selected, the inventory template cannot be used to create counts. Unit Selection The selected unit types determine which units are available on the count sheet.- Show Base Unit: When selected, the base unit defined in the inventory item setup is displayed on the count sheet. The base unit can only be disabled if at least one other unit is selected.
- Show Primary Purchase Unit: When selected, the primary purchase unit is displayed on the count sheet. This is recommended for locations where goods are received from vendors.
- Show Primary Stock Unit: When selected, the primary stock unit is displayed on the count sheet. This is recommended for locations that primarily receive goods from main stores and warehouses.
- Summarize on: Displays the unit type to be used for summarizing the entered quantities.
Partial Count Settings If the template is not defined for a Full Count, the user must select the item family groups to include in the Partial Count Settings. Open Inventory Handling Choose how open inventories are handled when creating a new inventory using this template.- Set Status to "Not counted": The existing count is canceled and marked with the comment “Not Counted.”.
- Close with default method of the template that was used: The existing count is booked according to the Zero Non-Counted Items setting defined in the template.unted Items setting defined in the template.
- Don’t generate new count: No new count is created.
- Click the Save button.
