Configuring Menu Item Classes for GST

The following steps describe how to configure Menu Item Classes for Australia GST.

1. In EMC, click Configuration, and then in the Menu Items section click Menu Item Classes.
2. Click the Options tab.
3. For each Menu Item Class eligible for forgiving the inclusive tax when the Takeaway order type is selected:

   1. Link the appropriate Tax Class.

   2. Enable the option 78 – Forgive Inclusive Tax.

4. For each Menu Item Class for Menu Items that are always taxable, even when the Takeaway order type is selected:

   1. Link the appropriate Tax Class.

   2. Do not enable the option 78 – Forgive Inclusive Tax.

5. For each Menu Item Class for Menu Items that are always GST Free:

   1. Do not link a Tax Class.

6. Click Save.
