This figure shows the EMC’s Enterprise Key Manager module.

The areas of the module are:

  • A: Change Encryption Key area.

  • B: Encryption Key Status area.

  • C: Change Transmission Key area.

  • D: Change Integrity Key area.

Areas C and D, the Change Transmission Key and Change Integrity Key areas respectively, are unrelated to the database encryption pass phrase used to encrypt secure data. The transmission key is the encryption scheme for network traffic and the integrity keys are not user-defined.
