Configuring Menu Item Classes for GST

The following steps explain how to configure Menu Item Classes for Australia GST.

1. Select the Enterprise, property, revenue center, or zone, click Configuration, and then click Menu Item Classes.
2. Click the Options tab.
3. For each Menu Item Class eligible for forgiving the inclusive tax when the Takeaway order type is selected:
   1. Link the appropriate Tax Class.
   2. Enable option 78 - Forgive Inclusive Tax.
4. For each Menu Item Class for menu items that are always taxable, even when the Takeaway order type is selected:
   1. Link the appropriate Tax Class.
   2. Disable option 78 - Forgive Inclusive Tax.
5. For each Menu Item Class for menu items that are always GST-free, do not link a Tax Class.
6. Click Save.
