Configuring a Custom Page Template

Custom page templates allow users to be flexible when configuring custom pages in the Page Design module. The following steps describe how to create and configure a custom page template:
  1. In EMC, at the Enterprise level, navigate to the Setup tab and then click Page Templates in the Custom Content section.
  2. Create a new page template record, import the appropriate template file, and then click Save.
  3. Navigate back to the Page Templates list, click the ... button in the options tab of the newly created template.
  4. Select option 1 – Can Be Edited “In Template” and then click OK.
  5. Click Save.
  6. At the Enterprise level, navigate to the Configuration tab and then click Page Design in the User Interface section.
  7. Create a new page and then select the page template you created in steps 2-5 from the Database Templates tab.
  8. The custom page template now displays in the Page Design module and can be edited.
