Field Name Description Data Type

Description

Enter the description of the URL entered. The description is seen when selecting the URL for a button in Page Design and also in the URL selection dialog on the client.  Add the required URL, for example, www.example.com. The system defaults to use the HTTPS protocol, so this is not required to be entered. However, if the website to be accessed has the HTTP protocol, this needs to be selected from the drop-down list in the Protocol field.

Alphanumeric

Protocol

This is either HTTPS, or when selected from the drop-down list, HTTP. The default setting is the HTTPS protocol.

Options

Press the ellipses (...) to show the option.

Option 1. Do not display URL in button function. Select to hide URLs from the Select URL dialog. Deselect to show URLs in the Select URL dialog.

This option allows you to add hidden URLs to an allow list on the client, so the user can access and navigate to pages which have associated URL's. For example, if the website you set up requires you to login, the login webpage can be set up as a hidden URL so you can have access to the webpage, but not see the URL in the dialog list.
