Locations must meet the following API requirements:
- Default to Local: Set the default to local endpoints for kiosks and other on-premises workflows that must operate during WAN outages and require predictable, low latency. If your integration already utilizes a cloud guest experience stack (for example, mobile order and pay) and you want to re-use common services, tools, and release cadence across channels, consider using the cloud kiosk endpoint.
- Use Cloud: Choose the cloud endpoint for partner integrations, mobile or venue apps, and scenarios requiring multi-site governance.
- Hybrid Option: A hybrid approach is available, allowing local transactions for resilience while enabling orchestration and reporting through the cloud.
