Single Server On-Premises

Due to regulatory requirements, physical location, or customer preferences, these implementation types are likely to have an on-site server dedicated to the installation.

The cloud environment becomes local and resides at the deployment address. While this simplifies data flows, Internet access may still be required due to the design of SSL or connected interfaces.

When a server is hosted on premises, DNS records and the SSL Certificate Revocation List (CRL) endpoint must be configured to be accessible by the workstations. This requires both an Internet connection and an internal DNS server infrastructure.

Operating system and database patching and maintenance require more coordination than with a load-balanced on-premises installation, since a server reboot results in a complete cloud outage.
