Load-Balanced, On-Premises Servers
Due to regulatory requirements, physical location, or customer preference, these types of implementations are likely to have an on-site server farm dedicated to the installation.
Similar to a single on-premises server, the cloud environment becomes local and is located at the deployment address. However, a load balancer distributes traffic across the application nodes. This simplifies data flows, but internet access may still be required due to the design of SSL or connected interfaces.
When a server is hosted on-premises, the DNS records and SSL CRL endpoints must be configured to be accessible by the workstations. This setup requires both an Internet connection and internal DNS server infrastructure.
