5 Bulk Price Editor

The Bulk Price Editor is a Frontline Manager module that lets you quickly search, update, and manage menu item prices. With configurable adjustment rules, you can apply price changes to many records at once and still fine-tune individual records before committing the update.

The editor works only with price records that are:
  • Defined at the current hierarchy level
  • Overwritten at the current hierarchy level

By selecting the appropriate hierarchy, you make sure your changes stay within scope and never affect records outside your authority.

Search Criteria

When searching for menu item prices, you can filter using one or more of the following criteria:

  • Family Groups

Locate prices linked to a specific family group.

  • Screen Lookups (SLUs)

Locate price records associated to SLUs.

  • Menu Levels

Search by the menu level(s) where the price is active.

  • Menu Item Types

    Filter by:
    • Regular menu items

    • Condiment menu items

    • Combo meal menu items

  • Effectivity Groups

Search for prices linked to a specific effectivity group.

  • Price Sequence

Locate by sequence number(s) of the price record.

  • Tags

Search by associated menu item tag(s).

  • Search Item Name

Directly search by menu item name.

  • Definition Sequence

Search by the unique definition sequence number.

  • Data Extensions

Search by lookup list, text list, and big text list data extension types.

  • Data Extension Values

Filter by extended Menu Item Master data values:
    • Select an extra column name.

    • Search by the text value associated with the column.

Text, Number, Lookup List, Text List, and Big Text List Data Extension Values are available in Bulk Price Editor. List type extension values that contain any of the following special characters—<, >, &, ', or "—will not be returned.

Note:

The Data Extension Value and Item Name fields support similarity-based searching. For example, searching for the Data Extension Value 8 will return records that have 8 as their Data Extension Value, and also those that contain the number 8 within their Data Extension Value. To refine your search results and make them more precise, include additional search parameters in conjunction with the Data Extension Value and Item Name search fields.
