Android 15 Support

The Simphony POS client is now supported on Android 15. Third party devices running Android 12 or older are not supported and need to either be upgraded to Android 13, 14, or 15 or replaced with an Android device running a supported version.

Guest Pay on Third Party CastlesTech Payment Terminal

The CastlesTech S1F2 payment terminal can now be used by 3rd party PSPs that want to offer guest pay functionality. This functionality was previously released in 19.6.2.13 and 19.8.3.

Optionally Disable Android Lock Screen PIN or Pattern Validation

The Simphony client no longer requires Android devices to have a PIN or Pattern to be configured to unlock the device.

Display Transaction Details on Payment Device

Payment Service Providers (PSPs) can now display transaction details as they are entered on the POS client on their devices using the Simphony Payment Interface.

Force Close Checks

Authorized operators can close checks with missing definition data that cannot be picked up to a default system tender.

An improved Edit Menu Item Availability user experience makes it faster to configure availability for multiple items and definitions.

Windows Server 2022 can now be used to host on-premises services such as Check and Posting, Transaction Services Gen 2, and CAPSonIIS.

Kitchen Operations

Automatically Bump Order from Expo Station when All Preparation is Done

The Kitchen Display System (KDS) can automatically bump (remove) an order from the expediter (expo) station monitor when all the order’s items have been bumped from the preparation stations.

Disable Expo and SOS Client Item Status Notifications

The expediter (expo) and speed-of-service (SOS) client item status notifications that are displayed when items are either bumped from or marked completed on a preparation station can be disabled.

Improved Kitchen Display Client Order Type Visibility

The order type highlight scheme now applies to the entire header (chit view) or order type cell (list view) on the kitchen display clients instead of only changing the color behind the order type name.

Japanese tax is now enabled through a single Tax Parameters option, reducing the effort required to maintain the configuration.

Use Most or Least Expensive Combo Group Item as Combo Meal Price

A Combo Meal price may now be determined by the most or least expensive Combo Group item, supporting “half and half” menu items like pizza.

Menu Item Master Effectivity Groups can now be deleted from the row header context menu in Menu Item Maintenance table view. A new search option makes it easier to find menu items with an assigned Menu Item Master Effectivity Group assignment.
