Certificate Authorities Certificates
A certificate authority (CA) is a trusted entity that issues digital certificates to other entities such as websites, businesses, and individuals. CAs play a crucial role for secure communications and security services such as confidentiality and integrity.
Starting with Simphony 19.6, all workstations use digital certificates issued by the DigiCert Trusted Root G4 certificate authority for integrity services. Typically, no user intervention is required for any CA-related task because each operating system maintains its certificate stores automatically. However, some Microsoft Windows-based workstations might need a manual update. If needed, download the DigiCert Trusted Root G4 certificate from https://cacerts.digicert.com/DigiCertTrustedRootG4.crt.
Follow your IT team's guidance and the operating system's vendor manual, which covers tasks such as: Adding Certificates to the Certificates Store on the Client.
