Google Android
Google Android offers native application sandboxing and other isolation features that provide a higher security level for any application including POS clients. Avoid installing unnecessary applications.
Follow the best security practices and settings provided by the vendor of your Google Android device.
Passcode or Patterns for Extra Security
POS clients running on Google Android use employee ID. Apart from using at least 6-digit employee IDs, Oracle recommends enabling the device’s passcodes or patterns. Administrators can configure Simphony to operate only when a device’s passcode or pattern has been configured. See the Oracle Simphony Configuration Guide for more information.
Android Updates
Google Android updates provided by the vendor of your device often fix security vulnerabilities. Apply these updates as soon as they are released by the vendor.
