Password Complexity Policy

Simphony enforces a minimum password security policy to ensure passwords for components such as the EMC and Frontline Manager are strong and secure. Passwords must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 12 characters in length.
• Password must not be longer than 128 character(s)
• Must contain the following:
• One lowercase character
• One uppercase character
• One numeric character
• One symbolic character - (Allowed symbols: ! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ _ ` | ~)
• Password must not match or contain first name.
• Password must not match or contain last name.
• Password must not match or contain username.
• Password must not contain white space
• Users may not use any of the last 6 passwords.
• Password must be changed every 90 days maximum.
• Password must not be or contain any weak word.
