3 Create Queries by Example

In Oracle Argus Insight, you use queries to search the data mart and retrieve a set of cases (known as a case series) with similar attributes. Based on your reporting requirements, your querying criteria may be as simple as a few Argus Safety case form fields with specific values or as complex as a SQL query that uses Boolean and Set operations between data mart fields.

Oracle Argus Insight provides several tools that you can use to enter, modify, and save queries. This chapter describes how to use the Query by Example (QBE) tool.

In addition to the QBE tool, Oracle Argus Insight provides the following query tools:
