Coding browser

The coding browser is an application component used for interactive coding. You can use the coding browser to code events, diseases, drugs, and other items by matching verbatims against the terminology in industry-standard or custom coding dictionaries.

The coding browser appears in a separate dialog box. You must manually close the dialog box to navigate to another page in the application or to perform other tasks.

The information that appears in the coding browser varies with the selected coding method, the type of item being coded, the configured dictionary elements, and the related system configuration for the coding browser.

You can sort the items in underlined column headers in the Results section in ascending and descending order.

For information on dictionary elements, see About configuring dictionary elements.
