User account statuses
Each user account has a status, as described in the following table.

Active ( |
The user is in the system and can access the application. New accounts must be activated before they can be used. |
Active Never Used ( |
The user profile is active, but it has not been used. |
Inactive ( |
The user is in the system but cannot access the application. Inactive accounts can be activated. |
Inactive Never Used ( |
The user profile exists, but it has not been activated or used. |
Invalid ( |
The user profile is being entered and is not yet saved. This status appears only during the creation of a new user profile. Only for environments with native authentication. |
Terminated ( |
The user can no longer access the application. Terminated accounts cannot be activated. Only for environments with native authentication. |
Locked |
The user account is locked. Any login attempt fails. |
In environments upgraded from Central Coding releases prior to 3.1 and migrated to SSO authentication, the letter U appears on the status icon of users that have not migrated yet to the SSO environment. For more information, see Migrating users to an Oracle SSO environment.
Accounts for new users have the following status, depending on the type of Central Coding environment:
- Environments with native authentication—Inactive Never Used.
- Oracle SSO environments—Active Never Used (for new Central Coding 6.3 environments) or Inactive Never Used (for environments upgraded from Central Coding releases prior to 3.1 and migrated to SSO authentication).
