Association methods

For the Oracle Central Coding application to use a new dictionary version to code, you must associate the dictionary version with a valid coding definition and synonym list.

The coding definition or synonym list can be:

• New–Created for the new dictionary version.
• Existing–Associated with the dictionary version in use.

To use an existing coding definition or synonym list with the new dictionary version, you must upgrade the definition or list. For more information, see Upgrading a coding definition and Upgrading a synonym list.

If there are differences in the codes or the synonyms used to code verbatims, you must reconcile the differences before the new dictionary version comes into use. For more information, see Reconciling a verbatim and Reconciling a synonym.
