Creating a constant
- In the upper-left corner of the Project Explorer, click the View Project/View Groups icon so that you see the Project view. (When the Project view appears, the tooltip for the icon is View Groups.)
- Select a study or library.
The Study or Library Editor appears.
- Select the Constants tab.
- Click New Constant.
The New Constant dialog box appears.
- Fill in the fields of the dialog box, and click OK.

Data Type

Return type of the constant:
- Integer—Contains only numbers.
- Float—Contains numbers and a decimal point.
- String—Contains alphanumeric characters.
- Boolean—True or False.
- Date/Time—Contains date and time information.

Description

Description of the constant.

Name
|
Name of the constant. The name must:
- Begin with a letter.
- Contain only letters and digits.
- Be unique.

Published (only in libraries)
|
Indicates that the study object has been published.

Value
|
Value of the constant.
